Job summary

The Best Connection is currently sourcing HGV Class One drivers for our Thirsk site. The role involves trunk and shunting work, with drivers alternating between both duties regularly.

Shifts are ad hoc and ongoing, with start times at nights (16:00–18:00) or days (05:00–07:00). Night pay is £16.38 per hour and day pay is £14.83 per hour, with on-going assignments and a pension plan provided.

Qualifications

• C+E license, CPC and Digi Card required.
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience.
• Over 25 years old for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Perform trunk and shunting work, alternating between both.
• Routings to RDCs and customer premises.
• Move and swap trailers and stock as required.

Job description

The Best Connection is working closely with our International Client to find HGV C+E (Class One) drivers for their Thirsk site.

The role includes trunk and shunting work with the drivers alternating between both regularly.

The road runs tend to be to other RDC's and customers commercial premises and the shunting is moving and swapping trailers and stock around the RDC.

*Ad hoc and ongoing shifts are available*

Driver requirements
