Job summary

Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution is recruiting Class 1 LGV C+E drivers for our Northampton Depot. You will deliver products from distribution depots to supermarkets in the network, with no overnight stays, working a 5 over 7 pattern.

As a Distribution Driver you will ensure timely deliveries, accurate paperwork, and strict safety compliance while maintaining professional relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E) and CPC with digital driving card.
• No more than 6 minor points on driving licence.
• Physically capable and reliable; strong safety focus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Timely deliveries to supermarkets with accurate documentation.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all activities.
• Perform driver and vehicle checks as required.
• Plan routes considering safety, road works and traffic.
• Represent the business professionally to customers.

Department: Logistics & Supply Chain & Transport

Location: Northampton, ENG, GB, NN9 6NY

We are recruiting for Class 1 LGV C+E Drivers at our Northampton Depot within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business.

As a Distribution Driver, your primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently product from our distribution depots to supermarketswithin the network (including loading and reloading).

This is a great opportunity for drivers who enjoy working for a prestigious logistics company, driving a modern and well maintained fleet of vehicles and who are looking for flexibility in their life, we offer full time work schedules, and no overnights stays.

• Contract– Full Time / Permanent


• Location - Northampton Depot, Warth Park Way, Raunds, Northamptonshire, NN9 6NY


• Shift Pattern – 5 days over 7


• Thursday - Monday 3am start


• Rate of Pay– £17.30per hour - £28.42 per hour

Potential on target earning from £46,000 per annum (dependent on shift pattern)

Class 1 Driver Role & Responsibilities

• Timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and compliance with all safety and transportation regulation


• Puts safety first and respects all other road users.


• Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly.


• Forward thinking, route checks for safety restrictions, planned road works and traffic to ensure your journey will be smooth and efficient.


• Highly professional in all situations as you are the interface between the business and our customer base.


• HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E)


• Current CPC and digital driving card


• No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs)


• Must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role.
