Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for reliable, experienced HGV Class 1 drivers (C+E) in Rochdale to join our team and help keep the supply chain moving. Curtain-sided trailers transporting palletised goods.

We offer weekly pay, holiday pay rolled into rates (£17.98–£20.17 per hour) and a £150 sign-up payment after 12 weeks. You’ll need a UK licence, DCPC, Digital Tachograph card, up to 6 points (no DD/DR/CD/TT/IN), and 12 months experience.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence with 12 months experience.
• Current UK DCPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Up to 6 points on licence; no DD/DR/CD/TT/IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned routes.
• Curtainsider vehicles transporting palletised goods.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork.
• Ensure goods have been correctly loaded and are secure.
• Represent the company professionally at client sites.

Shifts: 7 day working operation - with AM and PM starts - Various shifts available

What You Need

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence with 12 months experience
• A current UK Driver CPC (DCPC) card and a valid Digital Tachograph card
• Up to 6 points accepted on licence (No DD, DR, CD, TT, IN endorsements)
• A professional attitude and good communication skills
