Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers (C+E) for a Rochdale-based role with curtainsiders. Expect 7-day operation, AM/PM shifts, and loads requiring secure strapped cargo.

You will perform daily checks, ensure load security, and uphold professional standards while visiting client sites. UK residents only; visa/relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence with 12 months experience.
• Current UK DCPC (Driver CPC) card and a valid Digital Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) curtainsiders on planned routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure loads are correctly secured and loaded.
• Represent the company professionally at client sites.

Pay Rate: Holiday pay rolled up into pay rates - from £17.98 to £20.17

Additional Payments: £150 sign up payment (payable after 12 weeks)

Shifts: 7 day working operation - with AM and PM starts - Various shifts available

Experience: 12 months Class 1 experience essential

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for reliable, experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers in Rochdale to join our team and play a vital role in keeping the supply chain moving.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned routes
  • Curtainsider vehicles transporting palletised goods
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork
• Ensure goods have been correctly loaded and are secure
• Represent the company professionally at client sites

What You Need:

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence with 12 months experience
• A current UK Driver CPC (DCPC) card and a valid Digital Tachograph card
• Up to 6 points accepted on licence (No DD, DR, CD, TT, IN endorsements)
• A professional attitude and good communication skills

You must be a UK resident to be considered for this opportunity. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
