Driver Hire Nottingham is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a major client based in Hucknall. The role involves trunking on a Monday to Friday basis with regular work during the Christmas peak and minimal manual handling.

We offer an assignment-based position with clearly defined pay rates: £18.75 per hour standard and £28.12 per hour for overtime, with overtime paid after eight hours each day. DBS and background checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• In-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Be able to pass a DBS check.
• Be able to pass the client’s random drug and alcohol testing.
• Have a good driving record and professional attitude.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for regular Monday to Friday work throughout the Christmas peak period.

The Role

• General Class 1 trunking work
• Working on an Amazon contract
• Monday to Friday shifts
• Regular work throughout the Christmas peak
• Minimal manual handling involved
• Start date from 12th October
• Daily overtime available

Pay

• £18.75 per hour assignment rate
• £28.12 per hour overtime rate
• Overtime is paid daily after 8 hours

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have a minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Hold an in-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Be able to successfully complete a DBS check
• Be able to pass the client's random drug and alcohol testing
• Have a good driving record and professional attitude
