Job summary

Driver Hire Newark & Grantham are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for palletised deliveries across the UK. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a route to permanent employment with the client after a successful period through Driver Hire.

Role includes Monday to Friday starts from 7:00am, delivering palletised goods to customers in a professional, customer-facing capacity. Ongoing work with potential for a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E)
• CPC in-date
• Digital Tachograph Card in-date
• Right to work in the UK
• Professional attitude and good customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle delivering palletised goods across the UK
• Monday to Friday shifts starting at 7:00am
• Deliver palletised goods to customers in a professional manner
• Maintain a customer-facing professional image
• Ongoing regular work with potential to move to permanent position
• Unpaid breaks throughout shifts

Job description

Driver Hire Newark & Grantham are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of our clients carrying out palletised deliveries across the UK.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, giving the successful driver the chance to move into a permanent position with the client following a successful period working through Driver Hire.

The Role

• Driving a Class 1 vehicle carrying out palletised deliveries across the UK
• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am starts
• Delivering palletised goods to customers
• Professional, customer-facing role
• Regular ongoing work
• Opportunity to move into a permanent position
• All breaks are unpaid

Pay

• £18.75 per hour assignment rate
• Overtime paid daily after 8 hours
• £28.12 per hour overtime rate

Requirements

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Have an in-date CPC
• Have an in-date Digital Tachograph Card
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Have a professional attitude and good customer service skills
