Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment in Hinckley is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team with one of the UK’s largest parcel distribution companies. Earn £17.20–£33.99 per hour with immediate starts and weekly pay, plus overtime opportunities and full site induction.

Shifts are regular and guaranteed to suit various lifestyles. You must hold a Class 1 licence, have at least 6 months of experience, and possess a UK DCPC card and Digi-Tacho card.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence required.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and Digi-Tacho card required.
• Resident in the UK; visa support not provided; able to travel to site for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle (C+E).
• Trunking between depots.
• Complete standard depot-to-depot route paperwork.
• Perform pre- and post-route vehicle checks.

HGV Class 1 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

- Driving a Class 1 vehicle

- Trunking (depot to depot)

- Standard route paperwork

- Pre & post route vehicle checks

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience in commercial driving. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
