Job summary

Gregory Distribution is seeking a Class 1 Driver based in Hereford. The role involves executing planned out-and-back routes, maintaining high safety and load security, and providing top-tier customer service both on-site and over the phone.

Shifts are 4on 4off with Day and Night availability. A UK Class 1 CE Licence, DCPC, and Tachograph card are essential, plus a commitment to deadlines and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled out-and-back delivery routes, ensuring punctual and efficient transportation of goods with timely return to the base, while maintaining route integrity.
• Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone to support the smooth execution of delivery operations.
• Master the art of load security with ratchet straps and part manual handling, ensuring every delivery is safe and secure.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
