Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting Class 1 drivers for an ongoing role in Preston (PR2). Working Monday to Friday, starting at 09:30, you will be delivering/collecting to clients and depots across an express road-based courier network.

The role pays £18.33 per hour PAYE with £24.54 per hour after 40 hours; PAYE with advanced holiday pay is noted. Requirements include a valid Class 1 Licence, Tachograph and CPC, and no more than 6 penalty points.

• Valid Class 1 Licence with at least 12 months’ experience.

GI Group are currently recruiting Class 1 drivers for our Internationally known client in Preston (PR2). This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

We are looking for HGV Drivers to work on an ongoing basis:

Monday to Friday

09:30am

£18.33 per hour*

£24.54 per hour after 40 hrs

* Please note that the pay rate is PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

Duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle pre-checks
• Making 10 deliveries / collections to clients and depots
• Scanning and loading of own vehicle
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• 12 months + Class 1 Licence
• Valid and in date Tachograph and CPC qualifications
