Job summary

Gi Group are recruiting Class 1 drivers for an internationally known client in York (YO26). The role is Monday to Friday, starting at 09:30, with PAYE pay of £18.33 per hour and £24.54 per hour after 40 hours.

Duties include vehicle pre-checks, seven deliveries/collections daily, scanning and loading your own vehicle, and prioritising workloads to meet time commitments. Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 licence plus Tachograph and CPC qualifications, with no more than six penalty points.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 1 Licence with Tachograph and CPC qualifications.
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsements.
• Presentable appearance with a positive attitude and eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle pre-checks.
• Make 7 deliveries/collections to clients and depots.
• Scan and load own vehicle; prioritise workload to meet time commitments.

This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

We are looking for Class 1 Drivers to work on an ongoing basis:

• Monday to Friday
• 09:30am
• £18.33 per hour*
• £24.54 per hour after 40 hrs

* Please note that the pay rate is PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

Duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle pre-checks
• Making 7 deliveries / collections to clients and depots
• Scanning and loading of own vehicle
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• 12 months + Class 1 Licence
• Valid and in date Tachograph and CPC qualifications
