Manpower UK is recruiting for a reliable Class 1 Driver to operate a compliant articulated vehicle from Grays (Thurrock). The role involves planned routes between distribution centres, transporting mail and freight for a major logistics organisation.

A valid UK C+E licence, Driver CPC, and a clean safety record are essential. Ongoing temporary work with regular hours across various shifts, offering competitive pay (£21.99–£25.12 per hour) and full PPE.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points; clean driving history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow road transport laws, health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
