Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for reliable Class 1 Drivers to join a leading UK logistics organisation in Rochester. The role offers varied shifts and ongoing temporary work with competitive hourly pay.

Salary ranges from £21.99 to £25.12 per hour, plus full PPE and workwear. Applicants should have a UK C+E licence, Driver CPC, Tachograph Card and at least 2 years HGV experience, with minimal penalty points.

Qualifications

• Requires valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Requires valid Driver CPC and Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points; no serious endorsements.
• Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Good understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects per company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation, health and safety regs and company policies.
