Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a reliable Class 1 Driver in Exeter (EX5 1EW). The role offers regular shifts, competitive hourly rates of £21.44 to £24.57 and ongoing temporary work with a reputable logistics partner.

You will operate Class 1 vehicles, complete paperwork accurately, and maintain safety on all routes. The position requires current licences, CPC and experience in logistics, plus strong time management and customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 2 years' Class 1 driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
