Job summary

Manpower UK Ltd is recruiting reliable Class 1 Drivers to join one of the UK's leading logistics organisations in Rochester. This temporary, ongoing role offers varied shifts and an hourly rate of £21.99–£25.12.

You will operate Class 1 assets on planned routes between distribution centres, perform daily vehicle checks, load/unload, and complete delivery paperwork while staying compliant with road transport legislation.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 2 years HGV driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and ensure the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation and health & safety regulations.
