Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for our client in Motherwell, Scotland, to perform collections and multi-drop deliveries. You must hold a Class 1 licence, UK DCPC, and a Digi-tacho card, with at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.

Shifts run Monday to Friday with day and night starts. Pay ranges from £20.00 to £26.00 per hour, with weekly pay, a full site induction, and regular ongoing shifts. You must be able to travel to the site for each shift.

Qualifications

• 12 months Class 1 experience is essential.
• Valid UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards are required.
• No DD/TT/CD/IN endorsements accepted.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle for collections and multi-drop deliveries.
• Complete industry standard paperwork and vehicle checks.
• Maintain safe driving hours consistent with Working Time Directive.

HGV Class 1 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

• Driving aClass 1 vehicle
• Multidrop deliveries andcollections
• Industry standard paperwork and vehicle checks will also be required

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience in commercial driving. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements.

As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
