Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to work for a world-leading distribution company based in Basingstoke. Location: Basingstoke. Shifts include evenings and weekends with a weekend rate of £25.56 per hour and standard pay from £18.05 per hour, plus overtime after 8 hours.

You will deliver stock to retail stores, operate tail lifts and pallet trucks, and complete all delivery documentation accurately while maintaining safety and excellent service at every delivery location.

Qualifications

• Full, valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and Driver CPC card required.
• Digital Tachograph card and double-deck trailer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stock to retail stores safely and on time.
• Operate tail lifts and pallet trucks when required.
• Complete all delivery documentation accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Comply with tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations.

Class 1 Driver

Pay: From £18.05 per hour

Shifts: Varies shifts this role does include weekends

Pertemps are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to work for a world-leading distribution company based in Basingstoke.

We are looking for reliable, motivated and hardworking drivers who can follow scheduled delivery routes, deliver stock safely and provide excellent service at each delivery location.

Class 1 Role :

• Start times between 16:30pm and 20:30pm or 10:00am and 14:00pm
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Various shift patterns available, including weekend work
• Overtime paid after 8 hours
• Weekend rate of £25.56 per hour
• Deliver stock to retail stores safely and on time
• Operate tail lifts and pallet trucks when required
• Complete all delivery documentation accurately
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Comply with all relevant driving regulations, including tachograph and drivers’ hours rules

Class 1 Requirements :

• Full, valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Minimum of 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous double-deck trailer driving experience
• Good knowledge of road transport laws and driving regulations
