Job summary

Symphony Group PLC in Barnsley is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join our Transport department for nationwide deliveries. The role includes nights out (paid) and parking expenses reimbursed, with a salary of £45,449 per annum. Monday to Friday, full-time, with no weekends or bank holidays.

The Class 1 Driver will deliver our kitchen range nationwide in a modern fleet. Tasks include preparing products for offload, maintaining high standards, and complying with legal requirements.

Job description

• Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom
• Earnings: £45,449 per annum

We are looking to directly employ a Class 1 Driver to work with our Transport department at Barnsley covering deliveries nationwide, some nights out are required. Nights out are paid per night and all parking expenses reimbursed. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £45,449 per annum.

Monday to Friday work no weekends or bank holidays.

TheClass 1 Driver role:

The role involves delivery of our rigid kitchen range nationwide in our modern fleet of delivery vehicles.

The key responsibilities of our Class 1 Driver will include:

• Prepare the products in the vehicle for offload.
• Maintaining a high standard of work.
• Maintaining legal requirements.

In order to succeed in this Class 1 Driver role, you must have:

• A full driving licence with the required vocational entitlement.
• A valid DCPC.

You will be:

• Of smart appearance as the position is customer facing.
• Prepared to spend nights away from home.
• Able to lift average sized kitchen, bedroom and bathroom units.
• Willing to train within the transport department.
