Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV drivers for general haulage and palletised deliveries across the South Coast. Whether you’re seeking ad hoc, regular, or ongoing work, we offer flexible opportunities to suit you.

Roles include 10–12 hour shifts, night trunking, curtain-sider deliveries, and thorough vehicle checks with paperwork completion. Weekly pay via PAYE options, plus training opportunities, are available.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 experience.
• Curtainsider and general haulage experience preferable.
• Load securing/strapping experience valued.
• Good communication, reliability and timekeeping.
• Own transport is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monday–Friday work on an AD HOC basis.
• Average 10–12 hour shifts.
• Class 1 curtainsider deliveries and collections.
• Deliveries of palletised goods across the South Coast.
• Night trunking and trailer swaps.
• Vehicle checks and completion of paperwork.
