Turners (Soham) Ltd, the UK’s largest privately owned transport company, is recruiting LGV Container Drivers for Castleford depot. Shifts are mainly Monday–Friday with day, night, weekend and tramping options.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with 1 year preferred.
• Driver CPC & Tachograph card held.
• 35 hours CPC completed.
• Container experience preferred.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV container vehicles at the Castleford depot and across routes.
• Adhere to Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.

We are looking to recruit LGV Container Drivers based at our Castleford depot.Shifts for this vacancy are mainly Monday-Friday pattern.As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. We have day, tramping, weekend & night shifts available (Shift patterns vary from depot to depot). Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Occasional nights out maybe required for day drivers due to unforeseen circumstancesAs a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members.
