Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd in Peterborough is seeking motivated Class 1 Container Drivers to join our Container Division. You will operate as a professional driver, delivering container loads and representing Turners with customer service and safety at the forefront.

We offer day shifts with flexible patterns, occasional night outs, and a supportive team. Candidates must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph card, 35 hours CPC, container experience preferred, and good

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with Driver CPC and Tachograph knowledge.
• Container experience preferred but not required.
• Good written and spoken English.
• HGV Class 1 licence with 1 year experience preferred.
• Minimum PPE of safety boots required.

Class 1 Container Driver - Peterborough

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK's largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit Class 1 Container Drivers in Peterborough, PE7 3HH.

As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.

Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.

The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. We have day shifts available (Shift patterns vary from depot to depot). Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Occasional nights out maybe required for day drivers due to unforeseen circumstances.

As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members. We are always keen to take on experienced drivers and recognize the knowledge and strengths you can bring to the organisation.

Successful applicants MUST have the following:

• Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence (1 year Preferred)

• (No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)
