Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd in Southampton is seeking LGV Class 1 container drivers to join our depot. Shifts are mainly Monday-Friday, with Tramping and Day options; on-site work.

You will operate within a large, evolving fleet, with a focus on safety, customer service, and professional conduct. Full HGV1 licence and CPC/Tacho required, with optional CPC training during employment.

Average annual earnings around £38,500 to £41,500, reflecting 62-68 hours per week and night allowances.

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence required, 1 year preferred.
• Driver CPC and Tacho Card required.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles to Southampton depot and on-site locations.

Summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK's largest privately owned transport Company.

We are looking to recruit LGV Class 1 Container Drivers in our Southampton depot.

Shifts are mainly Monday-Friday pattern.

We are looking for Monday - Friday Tramping and Day shifts.

As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.

Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.

The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.

As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members. We are always keen to take on experienced drivers and recognize the knowledge and strengths you can bring to the organisation.

Successful applicants MUST have the following:

• Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence (1 year Preferred)
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card

(No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)
