Job summary

Sterling Recruitment Services is seeking Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our client’s team based in Middlesbrough. The role involves delivering and collecting materials across the North East, Yorkshire and East Riding, with daily vehicle checks and ensuring loads are secure.

You will work independently, maintain a professional attitude, and complete delivery documentation accurately while adhering to drivers’ hours and transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) driving license.
• Holds a valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Has good knowledge of the North East and Yorkshire road networks.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are kept in a safe, roadworthy condition.
• Ensuring loads are secure and all deliveries and collections are completed safely.
• Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation accurately.
• Working safely and efficiently while complying with drivers' hours and transport regulations.

The Candidate:

• Holds a valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) driving license.
• Holds a valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Has a good knowledge of the North East and Yorkshire road networks.
