Job summary

Driver Hire Teesside are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing work with a major client based in Middlesbrough. The role involves container movements, extending skeletal trailer work, and curtainsider deliveries from a Teesside operation.

Applicants should hold a full UK Category C+E / Class 1 licence, valid Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, and experience with extending skeletal trailers.

Qualifications

• Experience with container movements and extending skeletal trailers.
• Proven ability to operate extending skeletal trailers and containers safely.
• Curtainsider deliveries and collections experience is valued.
• Full UK Category C+E / Class 1 licence and valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of drivers hours regulations.

Responsibilities

• Move containers and operate extending skeletal trailers as required.
• Perform curtainsider deliveries and collections from a Middlesbrough operation.
• Drive Class 1 vehicle and complete all paperwork accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain safe working practices.

Driver Hire Teesside are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work with a major client based in Middlesbrough.

We are looking for drivers with experience across container and curtainsider work, with a particular requirement for drivers who are confident using extending skeletal trailers.

The role will involve a mixture of:

• Container movements
• Extending skeletal trailer work
• Curtainsider deliveries and collections
• Class 1 driving from a Middlesbrough-based operation
• Completing all relevant vehicle and delivery paperwork
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and working safely at all times

Essential experience:

For the container side of the work, previous experience using extending skeletal trailers is essential. You must be comfortable adjusting and operating the trailer correctly and have previous container experience.

Requirements:

• Full UK Category C+E / Class 1 licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous professional Class 1 driving experience
• Extending skeletal trailer/container experience for container assignments
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• A professional and reliable attitude
