Job summary

Cleansing Service Group Ltd (CSG) is hiring a Class 1 driver based in Cadishead. You will drive a curtain-sided vehicle to collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste, perform related paperwork and deliver customer service.

Role requires a clean driving licence, CPC qualification, and Digi-card; ADR is a plus. The position is full-time with up to 48 hours per week and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driving capability required.
• Excellent customer service with a flexible approach.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Collect hazardous & non-hazardous waste in a Class 1 vehicle.
• Heavy lifting up to 25 kg and handling drums.
• Nights away in sleeper cab; Monday–Friday schedule.

Location: Based out of Cadishead

Salary: £38,000 Starting salary. Increased to £40,000 after successfully completing probation period. Further salary increase to be considered after 1 year service.

Role Type: Full Time (Monday to Friday)

Hours: Up to 48hours (working to the EU driving regulations)

Role Accountabilities:

• The driver will be collecting hazardous & non-hazardous waste in a Class 1 curtain-sided vehicle


• Daily duties will involve some heavy lifting, including lifting of drums (up to 25 kg).


• Nights out in a sleeper cab


• Monday-Friday

The Candidate:

• HGV Class 1 Driver


• ADR Licence is an advantage but not essential as training can be given.


• CPC qualification


• Previous relevant driving experience and possession of a Digi-card


• Demonstrates good driving skills


• Must be able to provide excellent customer service


• High level of written and mathematical skills, as there will be paperwork involved


• A flexible approach to the role


• Works well in a team or on their own.


• Full clean driving licence
