Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for experienced Class 1 and Class 2 Driver roles in Barnsley. You will deliver goods to retail stores, perform daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate paperwork, supporting a professional service for the client.

Shifts include AM and PM starts with ongoing work until late January. Candidates should have a valid licence, CPC card, tachograph card, and good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations. Excellent communication with the client is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) Licence.
• Minimum 1 year's driving experience.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Complete store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks before departure.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintain excellent communication with the transport team and client.
• Adhere to drivers' hours, working time regulations and road transport legislation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all delivery locations.
• Report any defects or vehicle issues promptly.

Times and Days of Work: Monday to Friday (additional shifts may be available)

Position Times:

AM Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers: 5:00am start

PM Class 1 Driver: 12:00pm start

Barnsley for experienced

Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading distribution operation with ongoing work available

until late January, offering stable hours, excellent rates of pay and an immediate start.

About the Role

Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores, completing a maximum of

4 drops per shift. Drivers will be expected to maintain excellent communication with the client and provide a professional and reliable service at all times.
