Job summary

A leading insurance provider in the UK seeks a Claims Technician to provide essential support to the claims team. Qualifications

  • Strong organisational and analytical skill able to prioritise.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and reinsurance with specific reference to the relevant class of business.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake various duties to support internal claims handling teams.
  • Secure accurate recording of information adhering to processes.
  • Operate a helpline for client care.
  • Respond to client requests adhering to service standards.
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain databases and documentation of new claims.
  • Review status of all outstanding claims.

Your new role
  • Undertake a range of duties in order to provide effective support to internal claims handling teams
  • Adhere to agreed processes and procedures to ensure accurate recording and processing of information
  • Operate an effective ‘helpline’ facility to clients in order to provide a high standard of client care
  • Respond to client requests in accordance with service standards
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain databases and documentation including the logging of new claims within agreed service levels, in order to allow the Claims team to offer an excellent standard of service
  • Conduct a continuous review of the status of all outstanding claims
About You

Strong organisational and analytical skill able to prioritise

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Basic understanding of insurance and reinsurance with specific reference to the relevant class of business

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
