Avencia are partnered with a leading specialty insurer and Fortune 500 company who are looking to recruit a Claims Technician in their London office.

This role sits within the claims team, where the focus is on delivering an efficient, cost-effective and professional service to brokers and clients. The role

The claims division is recognised as a market leader in providing professional and responsive services to clients. Working closely with underwriters, the team plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional product delivery and customer service.

With a vision to be the most customer-focused, agile and value-adding claims function in the market, the team has been structured to proactively manage casualty and professional lines claims written out of London and Dublin.

Key accountabilities
  • Completing assigned daily claims support activities accurately and on time, including:
    • Triaging claims to correct handlers
    • Issuing acknowledgment letters to brokers
    • Making indemnity and expense payments
    • Liaising with underwriters regarding loss details
    • Requesting updates on inactive files from brokers
  • Understanding departmental service standards, systems, workflows and reports to support high-quality service delivery.
  • Analysing processes and technology to provide insights and recommendations for workflow improvements.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and customer service.
Skills & experience
  • A genuine passion for claims - previous insurance experience would be beneficial, but candidates starting their career in claims are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum A-Level (or equivalent) education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • A team player with strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Customer-focused mindset with an appreciation for the importance of quality, clarity and speed of service.
