Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is recruiting for a Claims Handler – Settlements in Newcastle upon Tyne. You’ll manage insurance claims from notification to settlement, communicating clearly and providing a calm, customer-focused service while ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process.

No prior claims experience is required, and full training is provided. After six months, hybrid working may be available, with on-site learning and occasional support from the Newcastle office to facilitate

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of claims from initial notification through to settlement.
• Review claim information and supporting documentation to determine outcomes.
• Keep customers informed with a professional, reassuring service.
• Liaise with third parties, suppliers and internal stakeholders to progress cases.
• Negotiate settlements and achieve fair, accurate resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems.
