RPC in Bristol is seeking a Claims Handler to join a growing team responsible for handling claims made against professionals on an outsourced basis. You will review cover, assist insured professionals, respond to claims and report to insurers as needed.

The role emphasizes delivering technical, efficient service, meeting SLAs/KPIs, and working with the Head of Claims to identify trends, manage risk, and ensure data integrity across the case management system.

Qualifications

• Experience handling professional indemnity or insured professional claims.
• Ability to investigate cover and assess merits at an early stage.
• Strong written and verbal communication with insurers and clients.

Responsabilités

• Review and investigate cover, assist insured professionals, respond to claims and report to insurers as necessary.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority while maintaining SLA/KPI targets.
• Maintain accurate data in the electronic case management system and support insurer reporting.
• Identify trends and escalating risk information to Head of Claims and insurers.
• Build strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and suppliers to deliver quality service.
