Red Recruitment is recruiting a Claims Handler in Bristol to join a growing team providing claims management services. The role suits someone with prior claims handling experience and solid technical knowledge, in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The team handles professional indemnity claims from start to resolution, reviews coverage, investigates merits and negotiates settlements within delegated authority.

• Previous claims handling experience with strong grounding in technical claims knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of professional indemnity claims from initial notification through to resolution.
• Review policy coverage, investigate claims and assess their merits and potential value.
• Support insured professionals in responding appropriately to complaints and claims.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority limits, ensuring fair and commercially sound outcomes.
• Proactively manage claims to avoid unnecessary litigation and control costs.
• Maintain accurate and complete records on the electronic case management system.
• Prepare reports for insurers and support monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Meet internal and insurer service standards, KPIs and quality assurance requirements.
• Apply insurers' reserving policies and identify trends or risks requiring escalation.
• Build effective relationships with insurers, insured professionals and external suppliers.
