Job summary

Specialist Risk Group (SRG) is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join City Quarter Brokers in London. The role focuses on complex construction, engineering and infrastructure risks across the Middle East, Israel and the Indian Subcontinent.

You will manage claims end-to-end, coordinate with underwriters and TPAs, and support the wider team with data and documentation. A proactive, highly organised communicator is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive London Market claims experience.
• Proficient with ECF/CLASS and Lloyd’s bordereaux (V5.1).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up, acknowledge and report new claims from set-up to reporting with underwriters and TPAs.
• Keep underwriters updated on claim progress and settlement status.
• Process and arrange settlement of claims and fees via ECF and direct with underwriters.
• Handle risks with large deductibles and self-insured retentions.
• Support brokers and underwriters with claims experience data and documentation.
• Collaborate with the wider claims team on ad-hoc projects and tasks.

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Claims Handler to join our City Quarter Brokers team, part of SRG. CQB specialises in complex construction, engineering and infrastructure risks across the Middle East, Israel and the Indian Subcontinent. This is a great opportunity for someone with London Market experience to progress their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Set up, acknowledge and report new claims from set-up to reporting, ensuring timely communication with underwriters and TPAs.
• Keeping underwriters updated on claim progress and settlement status.
• Processing and arranging settlement of claims and fees via ECF and direct with underwriters.
• Handling risks with large deductibles and self-insured retentions.
• Supporting brokers and underwriters with claims experience data and documentation.
• Collaborating with the wider claims team on ad-hoc projects and tasks.

Who we’re looking for

Role

• Strong London Market claims experience and a proactive approach to managing complex cases.
• Proficiency in ECF/CLASS systems and Lloyd’s V5.1 bordereaux processes.
• Highly organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• You will be exceptionally organised, inquisitive, and excited to learn and progress your career.
• You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with a portfolio of brokers, loss adjusters, solicitors and underwriters.
• You will have a level of experience working with Microsoft systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
