Our client, an international insurer, is seeking a Professional Indemnity Claims Adjuster to investigate, manage and resolve complex Professional Indemnity claims accurately and proactively.
You will manage your own caseload, determine policy coverage, investigate and evaluate claims, negotiate settlements and maintain accurate reserves. The role involves regular contact with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders, with responsibility for delivering claims within agreed service levels and authority limits.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, manage and resolve Professional Indemnity claims efficiently and within agreed service levels and authority limits.
- Assess policy coverage and ensure liability remains aligned with contractual commitments.
- Evaluate and negotiate claims, including disputed and material cases, to achieve economical settlements.
- Maintain accurate reserves and ensure liabilities are clearly recorded.
- Respond proactively to claims correspondence, advice and enquiries from brokers and clients.
- Review estimates and billings from service providers and brokers, resolving discrepancies where required.
- Build effective relationships with customers, brokers and internal stakeholders.
- Support delivery of the wider claims strategy and business targets.
Requirements
- Current knowledge of relevant compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Proven experience dealing with policy coverage.
- Strong organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to make balanced and impartial judgements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Relationship management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience handling Professional Indemnity or professional negligence claims.
