Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Civils Sub Agent located at Heathrow Airport to lead site activities and ensure delivery to strict safety, quality and environmental standards.

You will mentor engineers, work with commercial teams on cost management and support the Agent with planning and subcontractor coordination. A valid CSCS card and on-site civil engineering experience are essential, with ICE membership desirable.

Qualifications

• Developing commercial and contractual knowledge with practical application.
• Experience in cost-conscious environments.
• Strong people management experience.
• Experience in managing subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Technical knowledge of civil engineering with site experience as Section Engineer.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid CSCS card (required)
• Membership of ICE or equivalent (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures, including method statements, risk assessments and briefings, while setting a strong personal example in health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Support the Agent with cost management processes and programme preparation as required.
• Mentor site engineers to maintain strong engineering control and accurate project records.
• Work with commercial teams to ensure measurement and payment records are prepared accurately and on time.
• Work with the Agent to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works designs.
• Inform the Agent of any potential commercial or contractual risks.
• Manage material orders and supplier relationships to ensure required materials are delivered on time.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure services are delivered effectively and in line with company policies.
• Promote company values in all interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors and external contacts.
• Prepare and deliver daily activity briefings and maintain a regular site diary with relevant updates.
