Job summary

Knights Construction Group is seeking an experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of multiple civils and groundworks projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with Site Managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are commercially successful and well-delivered.

The role is based at the Wrexham Head Office with occasional site visits. A full UK driving licence is required and the salary is around £45k plus per annum,

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role in construction (civils, groundworks or infra).
• Strong understanding of construction costs, commercial management, valuations, variations, subcontractor management and final accounts.
• Experience preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and CVRs.
• Good IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for commercial management of civils and groundworks projects from start to finish.
• Prepare, manage and monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts and financial performance.
• Prepare and manage monthly valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts.
• Produce and maintain CVRs and provide reporting on costs, profitability, and performance.
• Identify, price, negotiate and manage variations with clients.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, including quotations, tenders and terms.
