Job description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £45k - £55k + Car / Allowance + Benefits

We are working exclusively with a c£30m turnover Principal Civils Contractor operating throughout Yorkshire on bulk earthworks and infrastructure schemes up to £15m. They are a contractor with strong market confidence, prioritizing profit and sustainability over chasing turnover. Due to continued growth and a heavy order book, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

Main Duties:

1. Measure and prepare valuations
2. Prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts
3. Record, monitor, and review the financial performance of contracts
4. Manage financial accounts and report to senior management on project performance
5. Liaise and present to clients on project performance
6. Secure payments from customers within the specified contract terms
7. Manage subcontract procurement and accounts
8. Pre-contract pricing and project cost agreement

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
• Civil Engineering experience from a QS perspective
• At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor on earthworks projects
• Client-facing resolution experience
• Eligibility to work in the UK
