Job summary

Shero Talent Co is recruiting a Civils Estimator for a well established construction and engineering firm operating across the North East. You will prepare and produce accurate estimates for tenders, contracts and sub‑contract works, supporting informed decisions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information. The package includes a starting salary of £60k-£80k DOE plus benefits and a hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a civils estimation role.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical information.

Responsibilities

• Build up estimates based on first principals
• Present accurate estimates to Senior Management for settlement on a timely basis
• Prepare and produce sub-contractor packages for specialist work within required timescales
• Anticipate and identify risks and opportunities within the tender process
• Ensure workload is planned to meet client deadlines
• Liaise and work effectively with different stakeholders and team members

Civils Estimator

We are working with a very well established, growing construction and engineering firm operating across the North East and we are looking to hire a Civils Estimator to prepare and produce accurate estimates for a wide range of tenders, contracts, and sub contract works.

This excellent role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information to support informed decision making.

Day to day you will

• Build up estimates based on first principals
• Present accurate estimates to Senior Management for settlement on a timely basis
• Prepare and produce sub-contractor packages for specialist work within required timescales
• Anticipate and identify risks and opportunities within the tender process
• Ensure workload is planned to meet client deadlines
• Liaise and work effectively with different stakeholders and team members
• Contribute to maintaining high standards to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a civils estimation role
• Experience of causeway estimating software is an advantage but not essential
