Job summary

COWI in Glasgow offers an Engineering Summer Internship for 8 weeks, focused on Civil/Structural engineering. You will work with senior engineers, support project teams, and gain hands-on experience in calculations, design checks, and client coordination within a leading global consultancy.

The role is designed for students who have completed at least two years of a relevant degree and are eager to apply academic knowledge to real projects.

Qualifications

• Completed a minimum of 2 years in either a bachelor's or master's degree, Civil Engineering or a similar related subject (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc)
• Strong problem solving and creative mindset
• Demonstrable evidence of research and information gathering skills
• Interest in engineering within Infrastructure or Energy market

Responsibilities

• Assist with calculations, design checks, and technical analysis under guidance of senior engineers
• Shadow engineers during coordination with clients, contractors, and other disciplines
• Use academic knowledge of engineering fundamentals to contribute to projects
• Gain valuable experience in a global consultancy
