First Recruitment Group is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer to maintain and improve critical infrastructure on a complex industrial site in Immingham. The contract-based role focuses on safe, reliable structures and supporting plant upgrades.

The candidate should have Chartered status or be working towards it, extensive design experience, and proficiency in Tekla, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, with emphasis on temporary works and on-site problem solving.

Qualifikationen

• Requires degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and chartered status preferred, or working towards chartership.
• Strong technical expertise in civil/structural engineering for industrial applications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and structural design software (Tekla, STAAD.Pro, Navisworks).
• Experience with temporary works design and lifting/scaffold/ excavation supports.
• Knowledge of inspection, maintenance and risk-based asset management.

Aufgaben

• Act as Civil & Structural Engineering Discipline Adviser, providing technical guidance.
• Promote best practice and drive continuous improvement in the discipline.
• Implement systems and standards to ensure quality and compliance.
• Contribute to all project stages from FEED to execution with design input.
• Support MOC processes with engineering approvals.
• Act as discipline approver for changes through site change control.
• Monitor legislation/standards changes and ensure site compliance.
• Communicate discipline standards and best practices.
• Attend engineering discipline meetings and contribute to reviews.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for future applications.
• Develop survey and inspection programmes for structures, stacks, silos and containment systems.
• Liaise with consultants and contractors on maintenance, turnaround and projects.
• Work with plant stakeholders to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Provide support for root cause investigations and risk mitigation.
