Job summary

Amentum in the United Kingdom is seeking a Civil, Structural & Architectural Designer to join the team at Birchwood Park, Warrington. The role focuses on producing modelling of facility structures and supporting option layouts within Value Management, using Revit, AutoCAD and BIM platforms to communicate design intent.

Qualifications

• Understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
• Ability to apply codes, standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in design software and BIM platforms.
• Basic understanding of structural analysis and civil infrastructure design.
• Understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
• Experience supporting design delivery on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to multidisciplinary design environments.

Responsibilities

• Producing baseline configuration modelling of the facility structure within the project areas of interest (Revit).
• Supporting the engineer to develop layouts of options to support down-selection through Value Management (AutoCAD/Revit).
• Detailing the single preferred solution, producing drawings and details to communicate design intent and specification to contractors and other stakeholders for implementation (AutoCAD/Revit).
• Attend site inspections to confirm design scope and interfaces in order to accurately reflect the as-built configuration of the facility within design solution details.
