Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior C&S Engineer for our Birchwood Park, Warrington team. You will deliver structural engineering design in a regulated environment and develop deliverables to standards while guiding multidisciplinary colleagues.

You will assess structural integrity, manage risks, and support design reviews, with a focus on safe, innovative solutions that meet client and community needs. This role emphasizes collaboration and professional judgement.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to resolve complex technical design issues with minimal supervision.
• Experience supervising and reviewing the work of others.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering design within a regulated or complex engineering environment.
• Develop and check structural engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and technical specifications.
• Undertake structural analysis, assessment, and verification of new and existing structures.
• Apply relevant codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes, BS standards, nuclear-specific standards where applicable).
• Assess structural integrity, load paths, stability, and serviceability considerations.
• Identify, record and manage technical risks, assumptions, and constraints.
• Support design reviews, independent checking, and technical assurance processes.
