Job summary

Carmichael UK is hiring a Site Agent to oversee Civils projects in the St Albans area. You will manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring health and safety, quality, environment and cost goals are met while liaising with Contracts/Project Managers, engineers and QS to deliver to programme.

The role requires strong experience in civil engineering, contract conditions, CDM, and risk management, with a degree or equivalent and CSCS.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil Engineering and as Site Agent delivering projects in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management.
• Familiarity with forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• CSCS Card is mandatory.
• IOSH or SMSTS and Temporary Works Coordinator qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for successful delivery of Civils/Water projects on site.
• Lead a team of Sub Agents, Engineers and Foremen to deliver work safely and to quality.
• Produce and manage Project Plans, RAMS, ITP and Waste Management Plans as required.
• Maximise contract commercial performance and manage cost control.
• Produce construction programmes and 2-week look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate procurement to ensure adequate site resources.
