Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking a Site Agent to join the team in the St Albans area on Civil Engineering and Water projects. You will manage site delivery, enforce CDM standards, oversee programme, QA, and cost control while keeping client satisfaction high.

You will work with Contracts Manager, engineers and QS to deliver safe, compliant projects on time and within budget, chair site meetings and maintain RAMS/ITP documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil Engineering delivery within a highly regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of contract conditions (JCT/ NEC forms).
• Familiar with CDM regulations and design management.
• CSCS required; IOSH/SMSTS preferred; Temporary Works Coordinator qualification is desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction site delivery for Civils and Water projects in line with programme and cost targets.
• Lead Sub Agents, Engineers and Foremen to deliver work safely and to quality standards.
• Produce and implement Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs and Waste Management Plans as required.
• Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised and records maintained.
• Chair weekly site meetings and deliver accurate monthly reports for client and internal stakeholders.
• Interface with Contracts Manager/Project Manager, engineers and Quantity Surveyors to meet client requirements.
