Careys Civil Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to deliver complex civil projects in Cumbria. You will work with Project and Construction Managers, applying technical expertise, leadership and commercial awareness to drive operational excellence across the project lifecycle.

You will lead and support Senior Engineers and the wider team, ensuring safety, quality and prudent cost control while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, designers and clients for ongoing

• Strong commercial awareness and cost monitoring.

• Ensure contract compliance and liaise with third parties.
• Monitor progress, delays, variations and risks.
• Contribute to cost monitoring, claims and disputes.
• Oversee setting-out accuracy and budget control.
• Manage design information to support construction needs.

• Provide leadership and develop the engineering team.
• Plan complex programmes and procurement activities.
• Maintain safety with risk assessments and safe systems.
