Job summary

Catering is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a Horton-based team near Heathrow on a permanent basis. You will manage commercial and contractual aspects across multiple civil projects, ensuring profitability and value for clients and the business.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will prepare cost forecasts, budgets, and monthly cost reports, while coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or major projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4).
• Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
• Experience preparing/managing subcontract packages and change control.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects from inception to final account.
• Prepare, review, and administer subcontract agreements and procurement packages.
• Undertake cost forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Manage valuations, applications for payment, and variations.
• Assess and negotiate subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs to maximise value and performance.
