Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major Heathrow project, offering a senior commercial role within an established, employee-owned construction business delivering technically complex structural, engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will take ownership of the commercial management of the project, lead valuations and forecasts, manage subcontractors and cost reporting, and mentor junior team members while driving strong commercial

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Experience with main contractor or specialist subcontractor environments.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations, cost reporting and forecasting.
• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying preferred, but industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the commercial management of the project/package.
• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasting and overall commercial performance.
• Lead valuations, variations and payment applications.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts, payments and performance.
• Prepare CVRs, forecasts and cost reports.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Mentor junior commercial team members.
• Support final account agreements and client relationships.
