Job summary

Brandon James Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its commercial team. The role covers preparing accurate and competitive tenders for civil engineering and groundworks, reviewing drawings and specifications, and producing detailed cost estimates.

You will work closely with the commercial and operational teams, obtain subcontractor quotes, assess commercial risks, attend tender meetings, and support handovers to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating civil engineering or groundworks projects.
• Ability to review drawings/specifications and perform take-offs.
• Proven tender writing and cost estimation skills.
• Good commercial awareness and risk assessment.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for civil engineering and groundworks.
• Review drawings and specifications, complete take-offs, obtain subcontractor quotations.
• Produce tender submissions and assess commercial risks and opportunities.
• Attend tender meetings and support handovers to the delivery team.
