Job summary

Brandon James, on behalf of a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor, is seeking an Estimator to join their commercial team. The role focuses on preparing accurate, competitive tenders for civil engineering and groundworks projects, including reviewing drawings, performing take-offs and obtaining subcontractor quotations.

The Estimator will identify project requirements, assess risks and opportunities, and ensure bids are commercially viable.

Qualifications

• Experience in costing and tender preparation for civil engineering and groundworks projects
• Review drawings and specifications and perform take-offs
• Obtain subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare tender submissions
• Identify project risks and opportunities and ensure bids are commercially viable

Responsibilities

• Attend tender meetings with stakeholders
• Liaise with clients and consultants to clarify requirements
• Support tender handovers to delivery teams
