Job summary

YTL Construction UK is seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our Estimating team on a range of infrastructure projects. You will prepare accurate, competitive estimates from tender documents, drawings and specs, supporting in-house delivery teams and external partners.

The role emphasises cost assurance, governance through pre-construction, and close collaboration with designers, PMs, clients and suppliers, with opportunities for career progression and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Civil qualification with civil installation or project delivery experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical understanding of civil methodology and construction processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Background in water and wastewater projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil estimates from tender documents, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, clients and suppliers to gather and validate project information.
• Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Provide technical input to support efficient design and value engineering.
• Assist the Commercial team with variations, applications and final accounts processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the estimating lifecycle.
