Job summary

Mercury Hampton Ltd in Tamworth is seeking an Estimator to join its pre-construction team. You will develop competitive tenders and work with engineering, planning and commercial colleagues to shape practical delivery proposals.

You will prepare estimates, assess risks, build relationships with clients and suppliers, support handovers to delivery, and contribute to process improvements. Experience in civil engineering or transport sectors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating for civil engineering, construction or related projects.
• Rail, highways, water or energy sector experience is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage competing tender deadlines.

We are recruiting an Estimator to join an established contractor's pre-construction team. You will develop competitive tenders and work closely with engineering, planning and commercial colleagues to shape practical delivery proposals.

About you

You will have estimating experience and a civil engineering, construction or commercial background. Experience within rail, highways, water or energy would be relevant.

Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing tender deadlines will help you succeed.

The package includes £65,000-£75,000 per annum, depending on experience, company car or allowance, pension and development support.
