Job summary

Arcadis invites engineering students into its 10–12‑week internship or 12‑month placement, offering hands-on exposure across highways, rail, energy and water. You will join a multidisciplinary team, work on real projects, and gain insights into project delivery and client engagement.

You will develop core engineering and consulting techniques with guidance, applying them to real-world challenges while at Arcadis in the UK and potentially on international assignments.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in a relevant subject (Placement & Intern only)
• Demonstrates Arcadian skills: resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, teamwork
• Excellent communication and ability to influence and consult stakeholders
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required
• Site-based working when required for projects

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineering teams across highways, rail, energy and water with safe, sustainable designs
• Design infrastructure using Civil 3D/OpenRoads/BIM and assess existing assets for repair or reuse
• Learn project delivery models, contracts and commercial constraints through hands-on involvement
• Attend site visits to ensure designs are safe, buildable and sustainable
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on UK and international projects
